According to the circular published by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Turkey on May 31, 2021, the test and quarantine rules to be applied when foreign nationals enter Turkey as of June 1, 2021 have been changed. All foreign nationals who want to travel to our country should pay attention to the following rules. Especially Afghanistan, Germany, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Philippines, France, Georgia, India, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Romania, Russia, Syria, which frequently travel to our country. It is important for citizens of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Greece to comply with these changes and to complete their travel and entry to our country without any problems.
In order to minimize the negative effects of the coronavirus epidemic, which has affected the whole world (Covid 19), on public health, the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the Coronavirus Science Board have been transformed into many precautionary decisions and implemented so far in line with the instructions of our President. In this context, taking into account the course of the epidemic in other countries and vaccination activities within the framework of the views of the Ministry of Health on the subject, the injunction decisions for those who will enter the Republic of Turkey have been put into practice with the relevant Circular and other circulars published subsequently.
With the relevant article of the General Directorate of Public Health of the Ministry of Health, the developments regarding the course of the Covid 19 epidemic in our country and around the world, the current number of cases, vaccination rates, etc. New precautionary recommendations have been reported for foreign nationals who will enter our country, taking into account criteria such as
In this context, within the scope of the measures to combat the Covid 19 epidemic, the following decisions have been taken regarding entry into the Republic of Turkey as of June 1, 2021, with the aim of establishing a unity of practice in entry to our country from all our border gates (land, air and sea).
1. The provisions of our Circular, which determines the general framework regarding entry into our country, and the provisions of the relevant articles of our Circular, which envisages changes in the provisions of this Circular and published afterwards, have been repealed as of 23.59 on May 31, 2021.
2. Afghanistan, Brazil, Bangladesh, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri LankaA PCR test report with a negative result made maximum 72 (seventy-two) hours before entering our country will be requested from persons coming from Turkey and those who are understood to have been in these countries in the last 14 (fourteen) days, and these persons will be asked to submit 14 (fourteen) days in places to be determined by the Governorships. will be quarantined for days. If the PCR test result at the end of the 14th day of the quarantine is negative, the quarantine measure will be terminated. Persons with a positive PCR test result will be isolated from the date the test result is positive, and the measures will be terminated with a negative result from the PCR test at the end of the 14th day.
3. United Kingdom, Iran, Singapore and Egypt’Persons coming from Turkey will be requested to submit a negative PCR test report made maximum 72 (seventy-two) hours before their entry.
4. All other countries other than those listed in Articles two and threeBy the official authorities of the relevant country, that foreign nationals who will travel from Turkey have vaccinated at least 14 (fourteen) days before entering our country from all our border gates (land, air and sea) and / or have had the disease in the last 6 (six) months. Those who submit the issued document will not be requested to submit a negative PCR test report separately. In addition, quarantine measures will not be applied for these people. If the vaccination certificate or the documents proving that he has had the disease cannot be presented when entering our country from these countries, a PCR test report with a negative result maximum 72 (seventy-two) hours before the entry or the submission of the negative rapid antigen test result made within a maximum of 48 (forty-eight) hours from the entry. will be deemed sufficient.
5.Except for those coming from the countries listed in the second article , foreigners can be subjected to a PCR test at their destination by the Ministry of Health on the basis of sampling at all border gates (land, air and sea) at their entrance to our country. In this context, foreign nationals will be allowed to go to their final destination after the test samples are taken, and if the test results are positive, their treatment will be carried out in line with the Covid 19 guide of the Ministry of Health.
Persons with positive test results and those they are in close contact with will be quarantined for a period of 14 (fourteen) days at the addresses they have determined. If the PCR test results at the end of the 10th day in quarantine are negative, the quarantine conditions will be terminated. The quarantine conditions of those who are found to carry the Indian mutant among these people will be terminated with a negative PCR test result at the end of the 14th day.
6. In order not to adversely affect foreign trade, aircraft crews, key personnel and truck drivers will be exempted from the quarantine application with the SARSCoV2 PCR test.
