Turkey Temporary Work Permit

Except for those exempted from work permit, foreign passport holders who meet the required conditions can apply for a work permit in Turkey. Temporary work permits are granted if the person works at a certain workplace, at a certain time and at work. For foreign passport holders who will work for the first time in Turkey, a temporary work permit is issued for a maximum of 1 year. If the person continues to work with the same employer, it is possible to extend up to 2 years and then up to 3 years.

While applying for a temporary work permit, separate documents are requested from both the foreign passport holder who plans to work in Turkey and the place of employment / will be employed.

Turkey Indefinite Work Permit

Except for those excluded from the work permit, foreign passport holders who have stayed in Turkey for at least 8 years with a work permit or residence permit are entitled to apply for an indefinite work permit.

In order to apply for a Turkey indefinite work permit, the foreign passport holder must first have lived in Turkey for at least 8 years. This stay can be accomplished with a valid work permit or residence permit. Indefinite work permit not only gives the applicant the right to work indefinitely, but also enables him to benefit from many rights like a Turkish citizen.

When applying for an indefinite work permit, separate documents are requested from both the foreign passport holder who plans to work in Turkey and the place of employment / will be employed.

Turkey Independent Work Permit

Turkey independent work permit is a type of temporary work permit issued for occupational groups that require professionalism and are determined according to international labor policies. Except for those exempted from a work permit, foreign passport citizens who have stayed in Turkey for at least 5 years with a work permit or residence permit are granted the right to apply for a Turkish independent work permit. In granting this permission, the person’s work experience, education level, contributions in the field of science and technology, the contributions of the projects and studies or investments to be realized in Turkey to the Turkish economy, the effects on employment, the partnership of the company and the capital share are taken into consideration.

Persons who plan to apply for a Turkish independent work permit are required to have resided in Turkey for at least 5 years. In addition, the documents on what the person is working on and will work in Turkey should also be submitted in detail in the application. The documents required for the applicants to apply for a Turkey independent work permit in Izmir are as follows:
